- We offer advanced treatments to help relieve dry eye symptoms and improve overall eye comfort and health. Our comprehensive dry eye services include both in-office procedures and medical therapies tailored to your specific needs.
- IPL & Radio Frequency Therapy: We offer IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and Radio Frequency treatments to help reduce dry eye symptoms by improving the function of the eyelid glands. An added benefit of these treatments is cosmetic, as they can help reduce wrinkles, under-eye bags, sun spots, and other skin blemishes while tightening the collagen of the eyelids. IPL therapy is especially beneficial for patients with rosacea. These treatments are considered elective and are typically an out-of-pocket expense. Please contact our office for pricing and additional information.
- Prescription Eye Drops: There are several prescription eye drops available that can be effective for managing dry eye symptoms, although results vary from patient to patient. Coverage and pricing depend on your insurance plan.
- Punctal Plugs: We offer punctal plugs for patients with aqueous-deficient dry eye. These small devices are placed in the tear ducts to help retain natural tears on the surface of the eye. Candidacy is determined during your dry eye evaluation.
- Scleral Contact Lenses: Scleral lenses can be used to keep a reservoir of fluid over the eye for extended periods, providing significant relief for patients with moderate to severe dry eye.
- Amniotic Membranes: Amniotic membrane therapy uses donor amniotic tissue with powerful healing properties to help reduce corneal pain, inflammation, and dryness. This treatment promotes healing of the ocular surface and is often covered by insurance, depending on your deductible.
